Health & Safety Training and Advice

Jewel Safety provides a wide range of health and safety training and advisory services to a variety of different industry sectors including manufacturing, offices and logistics. We can help your company to gain and maintain both legal compliance and a healthy, positive, health and safety culture.


In addition to providing your risk assessments, we can undertake audits and inspections and offer a range of support projects, as well as working on one off commissions.


As part of our ongoing service development, we now offer accredited Mental Health First Aid courses. Our qualified instructors can run courses covering everything from Mental Health Awareness, to Mental Health First Aid for Supervisors. We run these training courses in Hull, Scunthorpe, Driffield and Lincolnshire. Many of our training courses can also run online. Where required, we can travel nationally to run the courses in your business premises.

Did you know?


Any business with five or more employees, including directors, are legally required to have the following;


• A health and Safety Policy Document, including your Statement of Intent, arrangements and the organisation for managing Safety in the workplace.


• Risk assessments covering all of the significant workplace hazards, and where necessary ensure adequate control measures are in place to protect employees and others from potential harm.


• Access to professional Health and Safety Advice, either internally or through an external consultant.

Suitable and Sufficient training for all members of staff.


If you don't have these in place, there are potential penalties for failing to comply with the UK law. Enforcement authorities have the right to charge companies £160 per hour (known as fee for intervention or FFI) for action that they take even if they don’t prosecute. Penalties include unlimited fines, prison sentences, Director disqualifications, damaged business reputations.
